Workshop Description
Wildlife tracking is a field science that facilitates the ability to identify and interpret the signs of animal activity and provides accurate and localized wildlife observations. Tracking is also a practice that creates a meaningful connection with the landscapes in which we live. Tracking Evaluations are coordinated by Tracker Certification, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides education, support, and Professional Certification for all who aim to improve their skills as wildlife trackers. TCNA’s Evaluations are professional-level trainings that provide an unparalleled learning experience for beginning and advanced trackers alike. For this Workshop/Evaluation, you will spend the day with an experienced Evaluator observing tracks and sign in the field, answering test questions, accompanied by discussion and test answer review as a group to increase your understanding of wildlife tracking. Participants are evaluated in the field on their ability to identify and interpret tracks and sign of all species encountered. Tracks may be big or small, clear or obscure. Final scores of 70% or better are eligible for Certification. No matter your final score, you will certainly learn and improve your skill set !
