SPEAKERS

Ron Jaggers: AMA Alliance President

Ron’s professional journey is marked by his experience and competence. He is a retired Executive Pastor, and retired Hospital and Medical Office Administration and Human Resource Manager.

Ron and his wife, Dr. Terri Jaggers (a practicing gastroenterologist) have been married for forty-five years and have three daughters and seven grandchildren. Ron joined the AMA Alliance in October 2019 and is serving as the first male president in AMAA's history

Dori Bowman: Dori Bowman was raised in Southern California. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 1998. Dori appreciated supporting her husband’s medical school education and residency training in New Orleans, LA, and Charlottesville, VA. Raising her four children has been her greatest joy. She has a zest for life and loves prioritizing family time. One of her greatest passions is serving wherever she sees a need.

Dori currently serves as a sexual assault victim advocate for The Refuge as well as President of American Mothers, Inc. Utah Association. With a talent for organization and an eye for design, Dori is successfully self-employed as a home organizer where she is skilled at editing spaces to create order and peace in a home.

Talia Riley: Talia Riley is a dynamic motivational speaker, multi best-selling author, TV and podcast personality, and the vibrant host of Creating Confident Communication.

Talia teaches the youth at Challenger and serves on the board of the National Speakers Association's Mountain West Chapter.

As the founder of SOAR, she inspires leaders, youth, and women in business to build stronger connections, cultivate unshakable confidence, and elevate their relationships and communication skills.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Talia is most proud of her personal roles: a devoted mother of four, wife to TJ for 26 years, previous small farm owner, and travel lover. Talia loves people and life's simple joys

Heather Van Boerum and Dr. Don Van Boerum: In December 2021, 5 days before Christmas, Heather Van Boerum was crushed between two cars in a parking lot, ultimately losing both of her legs below the knee.

The injury coincidentally took place right next to the Level 1 Trauma Center, where her husband Don worked as a trauma surgeon.

Prior to the injury, aside from being a full-time mom, Heather was a very active tennis player, she hiked, biked, skied, and worked out 6 days a week. When Don was not working as a trauma surgeon, he could be found on his bike, snowmobiling, or helping coach youth sports.

Hear their amazing story that inspires others and radiates positivity
