The Carden Challenge is the Couchiching Conservancy’s largest annual fundraiser, held on the rare and beautiful Carden Alvar—one of Ontario’s most unique ecosystems, known for its grassland birds and wildflowers. Teams raise funds through pledges and donations to support conservation efforts. Participants spend Friday night and Saturday birding on the Alvar, or join as hybrid teams from home, counting as many bird species as possible.
The day is self-guided and concludes with a celebratory dinner, prizes, and trophies. |
