| Mindful Self-Compassion Short Course (MSC-SC) is an empirically supported 9-hour, 6-session psychoeducational group intervention that teaches how to treat ourselves as we would treat our friends. Offering the three components of mindfulness, self-kindness, and a common sense of humanity, MSC-Short Course enhances feelings of well-being, balance, and positivity during everyday and the most challenging moments in life. Created by Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer, the MSC-Short Course offers adults the possibility to develop a practice of cultivating compassion and loving-kindness toward oneself when suffering occurs through informal mindfulness and mindful self-compassion practices. Who should attend this workshop? Anyone interested in exploring and strengthening their relationship with themselves and building emotional strength and resilience through the cultivation of kindness and self-compassion would benefit from attending this program. This program is presented in an abbreviated structure to accommodate those who are available for a shorter time commitment.
