Mediating the Disposition of the Family Residence and Retirement Assets

This online training will focus on the basics that every family mediator needs to know when the marital estate includes ownership of a Family Residence and/or Retirement Assets. Training curriculum includes characterization and valuation issues, 2640 Reimbursement, Moore/Marsden, refinancing options, buy outs, sale of the Family Residence, IRA's, 401k's, traditional pensions, survivor benefits, tax consequences and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO's), and templates for incorporating the parties' agreements regarding these assets into their marital settlements.
