This course is designed to serve as a follow on of the Level I class and the next step in achieving conversational levels of Spanish for officers. The class will focus on obtaining information, interviewing, conducting roadside field sobriety tests and providing the tools to build vocabulary and to increase proficiency in Spanish.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Vocabulary for conducting interdiction activities.
  • Gathering of information for a field interview and performing this in an interactive environment.
  • How to conduct roadside field sobriety tests as well as each student demonstrating this in Spanish.
  • Introduction of subject pronouns.
  • Verb usage in the present as well as the imperative mood for commands.
  • Use of Ir + a construction to form the more common future tense.
  • Numbers beyond 10, introduction of ordinal numbers.
  • Review of alphabet and arrest/command/control phrases as presented in the Level I class.

Hands-on practical exercises. All of our Instructors are current or past law enforcement officers to lend credibility to the program and audience.
