Bone Health Basics Self-Study Activity

This self-study activity provides an overview of selected bone health topics relevant to PT examination, evaluation, and interventions including the education and support of patients/clients receiving physical therapy.

There are 2 video presentations by physicians and one 2-page AI compilation with scientific references. Using the transcript and or closed captioning may be helpful for the videos.

* Nutrients and diets related to bone health

*Exercises and activities to optimize bone preservation

* Collagen, collagen peptides, and protein supplements


Objectives

At the completion of this self-study activity, you will be able to:

1. Relate basic nutrient requirements and activities for bone health to PT plans of care and interventions.

2.Compare and contrast collagen, collagen peptides, and protein supplements relevant to patient/client education.

This is a web-based online continuing education event to be completed as a self-study activity.

E) Self-study. A maximum of 75% of the total CE requirements may be earned through the following self-study activities:

i) An applicant may obtain CE credit by taking correspondence or web-based courses, including pre-recorded professional presentations and pre-recorded webinars, from an approved CE sponsor. These courses shall include a test that must be passed in order to obtain credit.


ALL SELF-STUDY ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 26, 2026.

Self-study tuition will not be refunded, credited, or transferred after August 31, 2026.
