| The 7th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration, an “all ages,” free event taking place on Monday, January 20th from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Westborough High School.
This year’s theme is “Purpose, Partnership and Power: The Path to Civic Wellbeing” and will feature facilitated conversation for adolescents and adults, led by Jerren Chang. Children are invited to a special interactive program taking place at the same time.
Drummer Otha Day will return to Westborough for this program and all in attendance will have an opportunity to participated in an interactive drumming session.
Complimentary, light refreshments will be offered to all. Live language interpretation will be available with pre-registration by January 8th.
The event is co-hosted by Central MA Connections in Faith (CMACIF), Westborough Interfaith Clergy, Westborough Public Schools and Westborough Connects.
Partial grant funding provided by Westborough Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Additional funding provided by Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a can of soup or beans for the Westborough Food Pantry.
La séptima celebración comunitaria anual del Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., un evento gratuito para “todas las edades”, que se llevará a cabo el lunes 20 de enero de 4:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. en la escuela secundaria Westborough.
El tema de este año es “Propósito, asociación y poder: el camino hacia el bienestar cívico” y contará con una conversación facilitada para adolescentes y adultos, dirigida por Jerren Chang. Los niños están invitados a un programa interactivo especial que se llevará a cabo al mismo tiempo.
El baterista Otha Day regresará a Westborough para este programa y todos los asistentes tendrán la oportunidad de participar en una sesión interactiva de percusión.
Se ofrecerán refrigerios ligeros gratuitos para todos. Habrá interpretación en vivo disponible con inscripción previa antes del 8 de enero.
