About the Speaker:

When Lucky Budd was entrusted with archiving one of the largest oral history collections in the world for the CBC and RBCM in 2000, he had no idea that it would lead to a career as an author and oral historian. Join us at Swans as he walks through his unique career, discusses the power of storytelling and discusses fascinating stories. Lucky earned an MA from UVic in 2005, is the author of 15 books (12 of which are national bestsellers) and has worked with many people and collections including the Nisga’a First Nation, the Grateful Dead archives, artists Ted Harrison and Roy Henry Vickers, and Olympic Gold Medalist Andre DeGrasse. He has been nominated for over 40 awards including the 2020 UVic Distinguished Alumni Of The Year.
