Families Moving Forward Foundations: FASD-Informed Care in Your Community

This two-part presentation will first provide Health Professions and Provider steps to becoming a fully trained Families Moving Forward (FMF) Foundations Specialist and how to launch services in your community. Second, Caregivers and Providers will discover how a trained FMF interventionist can support your family and why working with one can make a difference. Introducing the FMF Foundations Intervention: A CDC-recognized, evidence-based treatment designed for children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and Prenatal Alcohol Exposure (PAE) with this proven model of care.

Families Moving Forward (FMF) is a scientifically validated program that effectively supports caregivers who are raising children impacted by prenatal alcohol exposure. Caregivers find that it meets their needs, and they finish the FMF program feeling more effective as a parent. As a mental health professional, you can get trained to offer FMF to the families you serve.

  • Introduce steps to becoming a fully trained FMF Foundations Specialist
  • Walk through the application process for FMF training
  • Share real-world funding strategies used by past participants.
  • Offer practical guidance for launching FMF services in your community.

From 2:00 - 2:30 pm EST  

  •   Explain how FMF can help families and what to expect from working with a specialist.
