A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall: Stormwater Runoff & How We Can Protect the River & Our Yards From Damage

Stormwater events have recently intensified due to increased development & climate change. These events have had a profound impact on neighborhoods, streams, & the Chattahoochee watershed as a whole. Negative effects include erosion, disbursement of pollutants, reductions of safe habitats for local wildlife & harm to fish and other aquatic life. Alan Toney, Master Naturalist and chair of Fulton County’s Soil & Water Conservation District will discuss the damage caused by runoff to the environment & to our own yards. He will also present ways to mitigate damage & create beauty in the process!
