Indigenous People's Day: Work Party and Site Tour

Date, Time and Location:

Monday, October 12 - 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Meet at Schluckebier Sand Prairie at Co Rd PF in Prairie du Sac, WI 53578 (MAP HERE)

There is a mowed area at Schluckebier for parking. See blue pin circled in red for parking location.

Please note: There are no amenities on site.

Schedule

9:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. - Meet at Schluckebier Sand Prairie and carpool to Gasser Sand Barren

9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Work Party: Honeysuckle removal at Gasser Sand Barren

11:30 a.m. to Noon - Lunch on site

Noon to 2:00 p.m. - Tours of Schluckebier Sand Prairie and potentially Moely Prairie

What to Bring:

• Bagged lunch, water and snacks
• Sunscreen, bug spray, hat and sunglasses
• Long pants, sturdy boots, long sleeves, eye protection and work gloves
• Herbicide and loppers will be provided, but bring your own loppers if you have a favorite pair
