When the topic of revenue sharing with student-athletes came up in 2023, U-M Coach Jim Harbaugh loudly supported it, arguing that “The current status quo is unacceptable and won't survive.” Those words proved prophetic and today the world of college athletics is in rapid flux. Join us to hear from Lecturer Greg Dooley to hear about how similar concerns led to the creation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in 1906, how the organization evolved and grew in power, how that power has collapsed over the last decade, and what it means for the Wolverines.
