Counted Out screening for LA County Families

Join us for a special, free screening of Counted Out: Math Is Power, an award-winning documentary that challenges long-held myths about who is, and who isn’t a “math person.” Through personal stories, expert interviews, and classroom transformations, this film unpacks how mathematics education is central to equity, civic engagement, and opportunity. Following the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to engage with a panel of mathematics educators.

Join us for a mini Mathchella MathFest, and free movie snacks will be provided.

Parking is free. Spanish Translation provided.

The screening will take place in Ayers Hall. Enter Ayers Hall through the gates in the parking lot, not the main entrance. Check in at the table. If Spanish translation is needed, pick up headsets at the table.
