WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and the City of Eugene Recreation team for a paddling cleanup effort from Alton Baker Park to Valley River Center (landing at the River House). Bring your own boat or grab a seat in one of ours! PFDs required.
WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 | 8:30AM - 12:30PM Please meet at the River House Outdoor Center at 301 N. Adams to help load boats and gear. From there, we will take a City of Eugene shuttle to Alton Baker and take out at the River Wood Beach, across from Valley River Center, behind the River House Outdoor Program.
DETAILS: Please be on time! We will leave the River House immediately once boats and gear are loaded. We will help unload boats at the boat ramp, followed by a safety briefing and clean up plan before heading out. Please dress for the weather and getting wet (no cotton!), bring water, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers. PFDs are required and must be worn at all times on the river to participate in this event.
BYOB? Please be proficient paddling in Class II moving water for this river segment.
