Advance Preparation

To make the most of our time together, each registrant will be asked to complete the following preparation work:

  • Upon registering, you may invited to participate in a brief, preliminary Zoom meeting. This informative and evaluative session will allow the certification curriculum to be tailored to the unique needs, skills, and experience level of the cohort.
  • Each registrant will be sent two books, Forum: The Secret Advantage of Successful Leaders and The Friendship Advantage: The 7 Keys to Building Relationships that Transform Corporate Culture and Drive Productivity, both by Mo Fathelbab. Cohort members will be expected to read and familiarize themselves with the first book and be prepared to actively demonstrate their understanding of key peer group facilitation principles. More information will be provided to registrants.

FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that circumstances outside of our control can come up! Our cancellation policy is:

  • Cancel 2 weeks or more prior: 100% registration fee refund, minus processing fee OR apply your registration fee to a future Facilitator Certification event
  • Less than 2 weeks: 50% registration fee

How are you evaluating facilitators and what are you looking for them to demonstrate in order to become an IFO Certified Facilitator?

Each IFO Facilitator Certification Training event is instructed by a master facilitator. This person will be evaluating each participant during the entire course of the training. Specifically, they are looking for:

  • The ability to engagingly teach and follow the process as laid out in the training materials.
  • The demonstrated ability to model and establish a safe space for vulnerability and to safely lead the group into deeper discussions.
  • Show a self-awareness as a peer group facilitator to ensure that the participants are engaged.

What if a facilitator does not reach the standards of certification?

Each registrant's performance is being evaluated during the entire course of the two-and-a-half days. If a trainer determines that a facilitator trainee does not meet the standards to become an IFO Certified Facilitator, the facilitator trainee can attend a second IFO Facilitator Certification event after receiving direct one-on-one feedback and coaching from the trainer or they can elect to receive a 50% refund on their registration fees.
