An Introduction to Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in Behavioral Healthcare

LGBTQIA+ populations of all ages disproportionately experience more instances of mental health and substance use disorders, suicidality, and poor wellbeing outcomes compared to their heterosexual and cisgender peers. This three-part, three-month experience includes a basic training on sexual orientation and gender identity, access to up to 50 hours of 1:1 or group consultation with a licensed LGBTQIA+ clinician, and supplemental mini-trainings as needed to address special populations/topics.
