| 2024 Bud Harrelson “Spirit of Friendship” Award Honoree DOTTIE OVERTON
We are proud to welcome Dorothy “Dottie” Overton as our 2024 Bud Harrelson “Spirit of Friendship” Award Honoree.
Dottie is a former member of our Board of Directors, serving as Board Chair for 12 of her 19 years on the board. “My work on the Board allowed me to bridge my business relationship with those working at Mercy Haven, allowing us both to work toward a common goal – to improve the quality of life for the less fortunate.” Her vast knowledge of finance was a vital asset to the Board, having built her career in banking as Vice President of Empire National Bank and currently as Branch Market Manager of First National Bank LI. During her many years on the Board, Dottie was clearly focused on the importance of fundraising.
She was a hands-on team player and volunteer, helping out at our golf outings and cocktail parties in every way, greeting guests and making all feel welcome. During her tenure, she was able to secure Premium Tournament Sponsorships every year.
Dottie embodies the true “Spirit of Friendship” that defines the Bud Harrelson Award. Thank you, Dottie. |
