Healing Through Words: A Grief Journaling Workshop by Erin Blechman

 Journaling can be a powerful tool for processing grief. This workshop is designed to help bereaved parents navigate the pain of losing a child through reflective writing. Together, we’ll explore prompts that encourage:

·       Cherishing memories of your child

·       Embracing and understanding your emotions

·       Coping with loss and finding the right support

·       Creating new traditions and navigating unanswered questions

 No prior writing experience is needed—just an open heart and a willingness to heal. Join us as we take this meaningful step toward finding peace and healing through words.

INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKERS

Kay Warren Cofounded Saddleback Church with her husband, Rick Warren, in Lake Forest, California in 1980. After the death of her son, Matthew, who lived with serious mental illness for most of his life, she founded Saddleback’s Hope for Mental Health Initiative as a way to support individuals and family members of loved ones with mental illness and suicidal ideation. Kay has written multiple books including Choose Joy: Because Happiness Isn't Enough.

Daisy Catchings-Shader is the Founder of Umbrella Ministries back in 1996. Her life was forever changed when she suffered the loss of her only child Danny who died suddenly with a heart attack. After coming to terms with her loss, her greatest desire was to help other moms through their loss. 

Erin Blechman is an author, speaker, and certified Grief Educator. After losing her son Max to suicide her mission is to elevate the conversation around grief and loss, mental illness, and suicide.
