| Recipe for Success Foundation turned nineteen in August! To celebrate, we are delighted to present a truly unique feature for our annual Delicious Alchemy Banquet—an all-female lineup of exceptional culinary talent. These extraordinary chefs, a rare gathering of culinary prowess, are poised to enchant your senses on a delightful autumn evening at our urban farm in the heart of Houston. This exclusive event, celebrating Houston's diverse culinary scene, promises a unique, intimate gathering that The Houston Chronicle hails as “the ultimate dinner party.” Botanical cocktails and delightful bites will appear in the Cavnar Family Foundation Chefs Garden at twilight. Then, as the sun flashes orange on the horizon, we will find our places at one long "kings" table set for just 60 guests in the United Health Foundation Gathering Barn. A lavish menu begins with salad, soup, and pasta, moves on to seafood, poultry, and meat courses, and ultimately arrives at blissful desserts—each course accompanied by matching wines, spirits, and botanical beverages. Divine.
In 2005, we embarked on a mission to combat childhood obesity and its associated health issues by revolutionizing how children understand, appreciate, and eat food. We enlisted the expertise of our city's finest chefs to craft and test a robust curriculum that has since transformed children's attitudes and behaviors toward healthy eating. These chefs have been the driving force behind our work, making healthy food not just nutritious, but also delicious, fun, and accessible. Together, we are shaping the next generation of food consumers, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to lead healthy lives.
