This training is designed for professionals who work with survivors of domestic violence, as well as community members interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the dynamics of DV and the legal protections available to survivors.
The program will begin with a brief overview of the dynamics of intimate partner violence (IPV), followed by a review of relevant domestic violence and stalking statutes, as well as mandatory reporting requirements. We will then provide an overview of the criminal justice system, discuss protective orders, and review the legal resources available to survivors. |
