Retreat Description

Belonging is intrinsic to our most fundamental nature. A sense of belonging supports resilience and helps us to cope more effectively with the difficult times in our lives

Through silent meditation, discussion and time in nature, we will explore our longing to belong, the courage to stand alone, safe vulnerability and stories of separation, we may hold despite our being connected with everything.

Retreat Location and Accommodations

The Tipi Village Retreat Center is nestled among tall trees at the edge of a forest along a river. Guests are treated to sumptuous meals and share large beautifully furnished Tipis and cabins with stone floors, rugs, warm and comfy beds with down comforters and wool blankets. There are a few private spaces for couples or those who are willing to share a queen size bed with a friend. All have access to a centrally located bath house with two full bathrooms. There will be time for walks, to journal, and enjoy nature’s silence.

Retreat Costs

The intimate group will be limited to only 22 guests. That means more personal time with Frank and an opportunity to come to know fellow participants. This 4-day retreat is a special opportunity. Frank rarely offers a residential program for a group of this this size. As such costs are higher than his other programs.

To reduce administrative tasks full payment is required at registration to secure your place in the retreat.

  • Per person costs: $1500.
  • Couples or friends who are willing to share a queen size bed $2600 cost for two people (a savings of $400). Be sure to fill in both names if you purchase the shared bed option ticket.
  • Costs include all meals, accommodations, compensation for the teacher and retreat managers.
  • Sorry no scholarships available for this retreat.

Refund Policy

  • Written cancellation notice received 60 days before the retreat start date. All payments are refunded less a $50 processing fee.
  • Written cancellation notice received less than 60 days before the retreat start date. No refunds except for medical emergencies.
  • If a member of a couple or two friends sharing a bed cancels, the remaining attendee must pay the full price ($1500 for a single) and will be accommodated in a shared space, if available.

COVID Safety Protocols

Effective January 20, 2025

  • COVID Vaccination(s): Not required; but strongly encouraged.
  • Masking: Not required; optional. Anyone who exhibits cold symptoms (such as coughing or sneezing) is strongly encouraged to use a mask in public spaces. Masking is welcome in all spaces. Please bring your own supply.
  • Negative COVID Test Result: Proof not required; self-testing strongly encouraged. In support of our culture of non-harming, self-testing is strongly encouraged prior to arrival on opening-day, especially if symptomatic.
  • All teachings and meals occur outdoors. Some sleeping accommodation are in shared spaces.

Our decision to let go of testing is in alignment with other retreat centers and in consideration of CDC guidance which states that testing is appropriate when individuals show symptoms of COVID. Our symptoms-based approach aligns care and protection strategies for COVID with those of the flu, RSV and other illness. We will continue to monitor conditions as they change, and will adapt our policies as necessary.
