Learn more about the event below, and register to join us! This event is brought to you by the Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) Technical Assistance Network. This summit aims to highlight the Tribal food sovereignty efforts and create a platform for Tribal farmers and ranchers to better access resources provided by IAC, USDA, and partner organizations. Attendees will gain insight into useful resources about meat processing, and soil health through presentations, and face-to-face interaction with experts.
The 2024 Northwest Regional Summit will be featuring a movie screening on Monday, September 9th, 2024 of Common Ground. This screening will be on-site at the Wildhorse Cinaplex.
"By fusing journalistic expose’ with deeply personal stories from those on the front lines of the food movement, Common Ground unveils a dark web of money, power, and politics behind our broken food system. The film reveals how unjust practices forged our current farm system in which farmers of all colors are literally dying to feed us. The film profiles a hopeful and uplifting movement of white, black, and indigenous farmers who are using alternative “regenerative” models of agriculture that could balance the climate, save our health, and stabilize America’s economy – before it’s too late." - Common Ground
The Northwest Regional Summit has a long-standing history of being hosted at the Tamastslikt Cultural Institute; however, with growing numbers, our conference location will be at the Wildhorse Resort & Casino in the Cayuse Hall.
