Meet the Presenters

Dr. Paul Hardy is a passionate leader in the field of substance use disorder counseling, trauma recovery, and relapse prevention. He is an educator at heart, an experienced keynote speaker, and conference presenter. He is a champion for those who struggle with compulsive behaviors and traumatic experiences. He developed the PLACE method published as “Redeeming the Tears,” (Lifeway Publishers) for trauma recovery and is the co-author of “Stop the Madness,” (Lifeway Publishers). He has self-published numerous books:

He is best known for his teaching, leadership, and solution-focused approaches to relationships and situations

Newzaira Khan, LCSW, PhD.C, was born in Bangladesh but came to America when she was just 2 years old. She received her bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of North Dakota. She is a Political Psychologist in training and a Trauma Therapist based in Virginia Beach. Her research focuses on political trauma and voting behaviors. In her spare time, she plays pickleball with her husband of 5 years and reads extensively while laying with her three cats, Aloo, Keema and Malai. 

Chip White, Recovery Advocate, is originally from North Myrtle Beach, SC and is the younger brother of Vanna White. He has more than 30 years of experience in the film and TV business. After moving to LA in the early 80’s he spent the next 20 years working for some of Hollywood’s biggest companies, including King World, Sony, MTV, Vh1, Nickelodeon, and Discovery. In 2005 he relocated back to the Carolinas where he has produced for SPEED, Fox Sports, Wells Fargo, Coca-Cola, and Duke Energy. It’s there in Charlotte where his passion for film was reignited, While living in Charlotte he produced multi-award winning short films, including ‘A Chess Player, My Luchador, Crab Trap, Wages of Sin, Day Pass and Black Dispatch’. He was also an Associate Producer on INSP’s feature films ‘Heritage Falls, County Line and Christmas on the Range’. His indie features include ‘Electric Jesus, Heir of the Witch’ and ‘The Grand Strand’. You can also see some of Chip’s handy art talents in the Lion’s Gate film ‘Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret’. In 2022 Chip started a new chapter in his life, with a move to San Antonio, Texas. It’s there he started a podcast with Nelco Media called Relatively Famous with Chip White, works as the Business Development Manager for Audio Visual Aids and continues to stay active in both AA and Cocaine Anonymous.
