Solitary Bees: Powerhouse Pollinators

Say the word "bees" and most people only think of honey bees and bumble bees, which comprise less than 10% of all bee species. Solitary bees have different survival tactics than social bees and play a critical role as crop pollinators. Learn about solitary bee behaviors, the dire environmental threats they face, and how you can help them survive.

Our speaker is melittologist Robert L. Minckley, PhD, University of Rochester, co-author of The Solitary Bees: Biology, Evolution, Conservation.
