CAEA 2026 State Conference - Building a Creative Coalition
Join visual art educators from across California for an inspiring weekend of professional learning, creativity, and connection. The 2026 CAEA State Conference brings together educators from PK–12 schools, higher education, museums, and community arts organizations to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and advance visual arts education across our state. The CAEA state conference takes place Saturday and Sunday, November 7–8, at California State University, Sacramento, featuring inspiring keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and meaningful opportunities to connect with colleagues from across California.
Conference sessions will explore topics including:
- Proposition 28 implementation
- Arts education advocacy
- Innovative classroom teaching and learning
- Studio art and creative practice
- Leadership, equity, curriculum, assessment, and emerging trends in visual arts education
An optional Museum Education Pre-Conference will be offered on Friday, November 6, at the Crocker Art Museum, with specialized programming focused on museum education, community partnerships, and innovative approaches to arts learning. Space for the pre-conference is limited.
