Keynote Speaker, Jack Phillips, is the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop. In 2012, he declined to create a custom wedding cake for a same-sex couple, citing his Christian religious beliefs against same-sex marriage. The U.S. Supreme Court ultimately ruled in his favor. Phillips faced additional lawsuits, ultimately dismissed, ending more than a decade of litigation in which he prevailed. |
