Frequently Asked Questions

  • What camera can I bring? Any digital photo camera that is either mirrorless, a D-SLR, or a bridge system: no Film Cameras, Tablets, or Smart Phones!
  • My camera is ten years old, and it has been a while since I've used it. Do you know if the class will help me? Some yes, but mostly no. Although there are many commonalities to all cameras, the older the camera is, the more modern features will not be available to your system. A private lesson would be more appropriate for older systems.
  • What cameras are covered in the class? Almost any camera system except for Tablets, smartphones, and film cameras is acceptable for the lesson. However, JPI sells Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, and Sony camera systems featured in the class.
  • Can my spouse or significant other come along? Yes, as long you are sharing the same camera. One camera per couple.
  • I have more than one camera, can I bring them all? The class focus will be on camera systems in general. However, you should use only one camera (your primary camera) for the class. You should save multiple camera systems for private lessons.
