| Again for 2024, there is a family fundraising and volunteer time requirement for each athlete in the program. The volunteer requirement will be up to 6 hours or $225 to Opt Out, per athlete in the Patriots Cheer and/or Football programs. You will need to confirm your family's acceptance of this by checking “YES” in order to continue the registration process. Volunteering or Opt Out will be a separate online sign up process with a TBD roll out date.
New for 2024 is to confirm that your family and athlete are both committed to the practice and game requirements from August 5 through November 10. You will need to confirm your family's and athletes commitment by clicking “YES” to continue the registration process. Aug is up to 6 hours per week and Sep thru Oct is up to 8 hours per week. Cheer athletes must attend 90% of scheduled practice hours and 75% of all games, Aug thru Oct, and 100% attendance, for games and practice, is required during football playoffs (Oct 14 thru Nov 8) to be league eligible for Cheer Off on Nov 10.
For us to have priority consideration for practice space, at our two high schools, we must go above and beyond to fill our cheer and football rosters with current BPS and future Groves or Seaholm students (applies to new families only). Your registration is not a binding contract with the Birmingham Patriots, and we reserve the right, at any time during the registration process, to prioritize BPS students and Groves/Seaholm bound registrations. In the event that a non-BPS athlete is displaced for this reason, a full refund will be provided.
Registration fees are non-refundable unless for the reason stated above. Once fees are paid, they are considered a donation to the Birmingham Patriots if an athlete drops after registering. |
