| DESCRIPTION: This engaging training is open to all professionals working with children birth to age five and offers a valuable understanding of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). Explore how prenatal alcohol exposure impacts brain development, physical health, and early learning, and gain practical, trauma-informed strategies to support children and families in everyday settings. While beneficial for anyone in early childhood work, this session also serves as a strong complement for those planning to attend the "Early Childhood Court (ECC): A Collaborative Approach to a Child's Well-being" training on November 14.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Identify the key characteristics and developmental challenges associated with FASD in children from birth to age five.
- Recognize early signs and symptoms that may indicate the presence of FASD in young children.
- Apply supportive strategies and interventions that promote healthy growth, learning, and family well-being in children living with FASD.
We welcome professionals and caregivers from around the world to join us! Feel free to share with fellow colleagues, family, friends, and professionals. Together we are better!
