Mindy Andrasevits (Eudora City Fire Chief)

Eudora City Fire Chief for 2 years. Started my career as a firefighter nearly 30 years ago with the St. Joseph, MO fire dept. I served for five years with the North Kansas City Fire Department before taking a break from the fire service and working in corporate training and sales management in Southern California. I returned to the fire service in 2017 as a Captain in Fire Prevention. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Public Administration. I hold fire service certificates to include Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Fire Instructor, and Fire Officer. I currently live in Eudora with my family, where my children attend Eudora Elementary School.

Christopher King (Prevention Chief at LDCFM)

Born and raised in Lawrence, KS. , I had a great opportunity to join the department in 1995. Over the past 29 years I have tried to follow our departments continuous improvement model for the community which we serve. As the fire code official for the City of Lawrence, I oversee the departments fire prevention division and facilitate the “implementation, administration, and enforcement for the provisions of the fire code.” Our Community Risk Reduction program includes several Fire and Life Safety inspection services within the community. The Philosophy of the Fire and Life Safety Program is to protect lives and property by the elimination of fire and life safety hazards. Over the years, we have worked to meet this objective to gain the property owner’s confidence and acceptance by educating the benefits of a fire safe environment.
