I was fortunate enough to hit the parental jackpot. Unfortunately, not all of us have that experience. As a foster parent I have seen Brightside provide children in foster care with funds for activities, advocacy and hope.” ~ Maureen McFadden

For 50 years, our mission has been to deliver the highest-quality addiction treatment to clients and their families. We treat them with dignity, compassion, and respect. Willingway has been licensed as a specialty hospital in addiction medicine since 1974 and is accredited by the Joint Commission. As a nationally-recognized, privately-owned alcohol and drug addiction treatment program, we practice evidence-based medicine to promote continuing recovery so that our clients may enjoy a life of sobriety and success.

Since its inception in the 1960s, Willingway has focused on family. The hospital’s roots are in the humble surroundings of the Mooney home. At that time, clients shared the house with Dr. John Mooney, his wife Dot, and their four children. Everyone who stayed there felt like they were a part of the family.

Even though the surroundings have changed and we are now on a beautiful 11-acre wooded campus, our clients and their loved ones are still considered family.
