Sheila Anderson currently serves as the Procurement Division Manager and Chief Procurement Officer for the City of Charlotte, where she has been leading and managing the city's procurement activities since October 2023.
In her role, Sheila oversees contract compliance and handles procurement for services, technology, commodities, construction, and public transit purchases, as well as managing P-Card and surplus property disposal. She is responsible for over $1 billion in annual spending, including grant funding, and works closely with various departments to ensure process efficiency and policy compliance.
Prior to this, Sheila served as a Senior Executive Procurement Consultant with Procurement Consulting Group from September 2017 to October 2023, where she led procurement transformation initiatives for local government agencies. She specialized in process improvement, strategic contracting solutions, and managed solicitation processes, including RFx documentation. Additionally, Sheila provided governance and oversight as a board member for Michigan First Credit Union for over 16 years, contributing to the successful operations of the $1 billion+ credit union. |
