Meet Our Speakers

Mary Margaret Rohling and her son, Frank

“The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is His name.”

Luke 1:49

“Come to Me all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28

Mary Margaret Rohling and her son, Frank, will share an inspiring journey of an addiction survivor’s recovery through faith in God and the fierce, unconditional love of a mother and her fervent prayers. Mary Margaret was born in Fort Scott, Kansas and raised in the Episcopal Church by wonderful loving parents. She converted to the Catholic faith in 1984 and has been married to her husband, Floyd, for 52 years. They have one son.

Frank was born in Homewood, AL. He considers his family as “his life,” and with their support, he has faced and overcome many challenges. Frank learned the diesel mechanic trade from his father, who is “his hero.” Attending a Cursillo weekend changed Frank’s life and gave him the ability and knowledge to talk to people in recovery. He has been in recovery for 16

years and has recently started a recovery group that allows him to help others.

Both Mary Margaret and Frank are members of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where Mary Margaret has served in many ministries. She has been treasurer on the Magnificat Service Team for 16 years and currently works part time for the Birmingham Diocese. Frank has been an altar server and usher.

Come hear this riveting story of how God’s faithfulness brings healing and hope. Frank says, “Christ offers a rest and peace that no drug or drink can provide. When we turn to Him, admitting our need for help, God meets us with open arms.”
