Our presenter, Dr. Shane Jacobs is the Design Manager at David Clark Company, where he leads a team of designers and engineers in the design, fabrication and testing of new and innovative pressure suits and other aerospace crew protective equipment. Some of the recent designs Dr. Jacobs and his team have developed include the S1041 OCSS for NASA’s Orion spacecraft, the S1100 Salus for Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner, and the suit for Red Bull Stratos. Dr. Jacobs and his team are currently working with Axiom Space on their AxEMU for lunar exploration as part of NASA’s Artemis program. |
