This advanced level course is designed for Auto Crimes Investigators and combines classroom instruction with practical exercises daily. The attendee will experience and participate in actual use of information presented during classroom presentations. The practical hands-on field exercises are related to investigations of organized vehicle crimes and will be conducted by MDPD, NICB, and other law enforcement instructors and investigators.

The course includes:

• Investigations of fraudulent license plates and temporary tags
• Advanced Title Fraud Investigations 
• Vehicle Security Programs and the Effects of Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Vehicles on Law Enforcement 
• Organized Auto Re-VIN Investigations 
• Vehicle Data Recovery 
• Vehicle Insurance Fraud and Arson Investigations 
• Export Investigations 
• Salvage Yard Investigations

 Hands-on Field Exercises:

• Identifying Altered VINs
• Retrieving Data from Vehicles 
• Live Burn of a Vehicle 
• Shipping Facility Inspection
• Salvage Yard Inspection

The fee for this course is $910

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to rising costs and expenses generated by students who register for our courses and do not attend without notification, it has become necessary to institute the following policy:

In order to qualify for a full refund, students (or their employing agencies) must cancel no less than two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellations must be received via e-mail to the attention of the course coordinator. A confirmation of receipt and a cancellation number must be obtained from the coordinator. No claims will be accepted unless the aforementioned is adhered to. Cancellations made within the two week time period are subject to a $150 fee. Substitutions of students may be made at any time. Please call us immediately if you have any questions.

NOTE: NO-SHOWS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO CANCEL AFTER 3PM ON THE THURSDAY PRECEDING THE COURSE) WILL BE INVOICED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE.
