Navigating Healthcare Realities: Elder Abuse Survivors' Journey

This World Elder Abuse Awareness Day conference will provide attendees with essential knowledge to support elder abuse survivors within healthcare settings. Keynote speaker Thomas Caprio, M.D., a distinguished gerontologist, will explore the complexities of aging and the role of healthcare in fostering dignity and safety. Participants will explore a case study of a survivor at ages 60, 70, and 80. Attendees will examine challenges faced by survivors, the powers and limitations of healthcare systems, and how advocates can pave the way for improved services and support for elder abuse survivors.
