| National Week of Conversation is April 21-27, 2025.
Throughout the week, community spaces across the country will participate in the Better Together Film Festival, helping to bring together diverse groups of people to view films that showcase hopeful stories of bridging divides. These nonpartisan films were selected for the Better Together Film Festival because they inspire hope and exemplify how everyday Americans and leaders can find common ground and understanding with each other, despite their differences.
Westborough Connects is again participating in the festival, hosting "Tennessee 11." The program will include a screening of the film (watch the trailer HERE) and follow-up facilitated conversation. Conversation will focus on skills and process for bridging differences, not the subject matter from the film (guns, gun rights or gun control).
This program is an opportunity for Westborough Connects to continue work on our initiative called Bridging Differences & Divides. The goal of this initiative is to increase Westborough residents’ sense of belonging through increased understanding between diverse groups, increased respect and appreciation across differences, and the development and refinement of communication skills including active listening and empathic speaking for individuals. This goal is aligned with Westborough Connects' mission of helping to build a thriving, kind and connected community where everybody feels like they belong.
We wish to thank the Listen First Project for this incredible opportunity. |
