H-GAC Parks and Natural Areas Roundtable Park Tour

The next Houston-Galveston Area Council Parks and Natural Areas Roundtable event will be a tour of the award-winning Chrysalis Lake in the Bridgeland community.

We will meet at 10 a.m. at the park for a tour and then drive 2 miles to Longwing Landing activity center to learn more about the projects in the community.

Transportation will NOT be provided to Chrysalis Lake or to Longwing Landing. Carpooling is encouraged.

We will start at Chrysalis Lake off Peek Road, near Bridgeland Creek Parkway.

There is no parking lot. Park in the right lane on Peek Road near the pavilion

Located in the award-winning master planned community of Bridgeland, Chrysalis Lake is a habitat comprised of a 22-acre lake and 39.5 acres of forests and meadows. At Chrysalis Lake, more than 58,000 pollinator plants help combat the declining pollinator population while supporting the well-being of current and future Bridgeland residents. Chrysalis Lake was designed to improve stormwater management and air quality, ultimately enhancing biodiversity and quality of life for its insect and animal inhabitants. Chrysalis Lake received Honorable Mention recognition in the 2023 H-GAC Parks and Natural Areas Awards program.
