| Join us for a fun evening of dancing, no prior experience needed.
Our aim is to help bring about the restoration of Catholic Culture One Dance At A Time by organizing modest dances for adults and teens.
This event is for ages 13-17 WITH A PARENT, we are sorry but we cannot include younger siblings and older teens (18-19).
Please read the following for important details: Since we are holding these dances on Diocesan property, we are required to carry special insurance. As such all attendees need to register. Registrations will be accepted at the door. Your teens registration and attendance implies you and your teen have read and agree to the following:
*All Teen(s) must be registered and accompanied by their parent.* This is not optional. We understand that life happens and don't want teens to miss out, exceptions will be made on a case by case basis for extenuating circumstances which are communicated to us in advance, in those instances chaperones agree to take full responsibility for the teen in their charge.
Attire: We kindly ask teens to dress modestly in their Sunday best. Please NO shorts, jeans & t-shirts or sleeveless clothing items.
While young gentlemen are normally encouraged to wear suits, given that it is summer "Dockers" type pants or dress pants with a tucked-in "Polo" type or regular button down shirt with short sleeves or rolled up long sleeves is acceptable attire.
We ask young ladies to please refrain from wearing pants, skin tight, see-through, low cut or super short clothing items. This means no visible cleavage, skirts/dresses should completely cover the thigh and be just below the knee at a minimum, we also encourage shorts be worn under their modest skirts and dresses as we do teach turns and some styles of skirts and dresses flare out. Please no high heeled shoes as we will be on a gym floor. We know that it is summer time but kindly ask that ladies refrain from wearing tank dresses. Dresses or blouses with cap sleeves, covering the shoulders are acceptable, please see our Pinterest board for suggestions.
We will have access to the control room this time and the AC will be on well before the dance, insuring the gym is cool and comfortable.
Conduct: Attendees are expected to join the fun and conduct themselves as ladies and gentlemen. This includes dancing, treating hosts, dance corps members, chaperones and attendees with respect in a polite and considerate manner. While this is a social event it is a dance so the expectation is that all teens will participate in dancing. We ask that ladies & gentlemen dance with different partners throughout the evening, exclusive partnering is discouraged and inappropriate at this age group. Attendees are also expected to remain in the gym until they leave for the evening with their parent. NO roaming of Church grounds will be tolerated.
While this is not a formal event our mission is the restoration of the culture by bringing back class and decorum, as such, modesty of dress and modesty of character are high priorities. Teens' and parents' cooperation with these request will support our mission and our team as we strive to host an event all will enjoy. If you or your teen(s) have any issues with the above standards we kindly ask y'all please reconsider attending.
