Supplies Needed for this event (I've indicated what is included in the box of supplies): -Watercolor Paint (you can use reinkers, but paint will give you incredible effects!). I have a specially curated paint set specifically for painting flowers available while supplies last. -Paint brushes. We will use a variety of shapes including multiple sizes of Round brushes, Filbert Brushes, Flat Brushes, and a few specialty brushes (cat's tongue, angle and more). I have a set to add to your registration, if desired. If you've taken one of my courses, the sets we have used before will work fine. If you only have water painters, I highly recommend this set. -A few household items like salt, q-tips and Paper Towel, 2 jars for water (Mason Jars/jam/pickle/salsa type jars cleaned out work great!) -Paper (LOTS of paper is included in the supply box--including different types to help you understand how paper works! -Ceramic Palette is helpful (a special one is included in the box of supplies) -Black Pen (included in box of supplies) -White Pen (included in box of supplies) -Watercolor Album (included in box) -Paper trimmer -Sentiments of your choice -waterproof ink such as StazOn is recommended -Crayon (included) -Pointed Scoring tool (not a stylus) for making marks (included in box) This is super cool for effects! -Ink pad Reinkers (3 included in box) SUPER excited for some cool techniques with these!! -Favorite LINE art stamp set (I will show a few such as Flowers Fair, Framed Violets, Heirloom Boutique--you can add these to your registration at a discount). The Focus will not be stamps as much as painting flowers, however I will have a samples and lessons using these items should you want to follow along with exactly what I make).
Helpful to have, but not absolutely necessary: Watercolor Pencils--you can add them at a discount.
Box will also include 2 Exclusive floral Stencil designs that we have created! I am SO excited about these!! They will only be available with the box purchase. ************************************************************************************************************** What will we learn? -how to paint loose-style flowers as well as fun abstract flowers -how to paint stamped images with shading -how to choose colors that work nicely together -brushstrokes to build flower petals of a wide variety of shapes as well as leaves -skill building exercises to help with a successful experience (and the best part is they are relaxing to do! -A lot of attention will be paid to water control how to achieve it and how to fix issues with water -color mixing (and how to avoid mud) -basic watercolor techniques -shading techniques -what is white space and how to use it in floral painting -we will create an album of all the different types of flowers that you will learn to use as a reference as well as the exercises we do to build our skills. You will be able to add to this if desired (or replace things you have improved on as time goes on) I have already LOVED using my album to help spur on my creative proess as well as remember the brushes and/or colors I used to create different effects -We will make a boxed set of cards to show off what you have learned as kind of a final project!
