If you look up the definition of confidence, you’ll see something along the lines of “self-assurance” or a mention of appreciating our own abilities and qualities. Perhaps it seems that should be a given in the library world, considering we are surrounded by knowledge. But maybe being surrounded by all that knowledge is exactly WHY our confidence muscle can atrophy!
Because even though we know we know ?, just one somewhat-negative interaction with a patron can leave our confidence muscle bruised and a little worse for wear.
