As quickly as the design of these implants have changed, so to have the options for restoring them. In addition, patients are expecting not just an “implant” but a “tooth”. This lecture provides today’s restorative and surgical practitioners with up-to-date information on materials and concepts to provide the patient with what they want, functional and esthetic “teeth”. 3 CE Units Learning Objectives:
- Become familiar with current materials for implant abutment/restorations.
- Understand the criteria for screw retained and cement retained restorations.
- Review of cementation protocol for minimizing excess cement extrusion.
- Understand the use of angulated prosthetic screw channels for screw retention.
