Kristen Stewart

Schizophrenia Advisory Committee Member


Kristen Stewart is excited to be a part of NAMI New York State’s Schizophrenia Comprehensive Care Initiative and help others in recovery. Her journey has been extensive, and having been born and raised in a rural community, she now understands the importance of resources beyond financial support. She started her career in agriculture and has since gained her Master’s in 2020 from Keuka College, Keuka Park, NY, in Business Management.


She continues to educate as a NYS Peer Specialist, having first been certified in 2016 by NYS OMH. Her current full-time position with the NYS Government has allowed her to expand networks and help others. She is a volunteer on the Board of Directors for AIM, Corning, NY, and the Finger Lakes SPCA, Bath, NY, and an avid Master Gardener. Her volunteering has led her to her current career path, and she enjoys helping everyone reach their goals.
