| Day of Action is a United Way event that takes place globally on or around June 21st every year. We are excited to announce this will be United Way of the Cape Fear Area’s first year participating in this incredible day as we aim to make change in our communities and provide support for those in need.
What we’re doing: This year, we’ve created three ways to get involved leading up to the big day.
- Donate directly to United Way
- Set up a collection box
- Help us sort our donations and pack kits for distribution on the Day of Action!
Our goal is to create two different types of supply kits to support the needs of individuals and families in unique, creative ways. UWCFA will create Birthday Kits and Basic Essentials kits.
Distribution of the kits will be managed through our non-profit partners and through the UWCFA office. Join us in a fun and uplifting day of volunteering that will positively impact the lives of our community members who need us most. Every step from crisis to stability, no matter how small, is a step toward our vision of a united community where everyone is healthy, safe, and prosperous. |
