Martin’s House & Barn provides a safety net for individuals and families needing special support during difficult times in their lives. The organization was founded in 1983 as St. Martin’s Barn by the Benedictine Sisters of Ridgely, Maryland. A non-denominational non-profit that has served the poor and homeless on the Eastern Shore for nearly 40 years, Martin’s House & Barn helps clients find resources to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency while providing essential shelter, food, and clothing to those in need. Offering a Family Shelter, an Emergency Food Pantry, a Thrift Shop, and Homelessness Prevention Services, Martin’s House & Barn has transformed thousands of lives.
