Northwestern Ohio Synod Border Immersion

by Border Servant Corps, November 5-9, 2025

Las Cruces, New Mexico & El Paso, Texas

"In today’s polarized society – surrounding almost every issue – it is increasingly important to come together, get to know one another, learn about realities, think critically, and proactively engage with renewed understanding." -BSC

During this Year of Listening, the Northwestern Ohio is partnering with Border Servant Corps to provide an opportunity for people of faith to journey to the borderlands to listen and learn about the current reality of immigration.

12 individuals will be invited to join this experience from Wednesday, November 5 through Sunday, November 9. The cost will be $150 per person, per day, and includes all for meals, lodging, programming and transportation while in the borderlands. Airfare is the responsibility of participants. Partial scholarships for the daily rate are available through NWOS, and participants are encouraged to approach their congregations for any additional financial support.

Interest forms are open and should be completed by May 1st for consideration to participate.
