A Letter From the President

It’s been a great 2024, but it’s time to celebrate the arrival of 2025!!

The Chamber staff have been busy this holiday season ensuring the programs and events for the upcoming year will have the impact you need to assist in your business success.

The year will start with our annual touchpoint — making sure you receive your 2025 decal sticker to proudly display at your place of work.

Be sure to check out the fantastic 2025 Community Guide and Membership Directory that will be mailed to all members in February. With feature stories about members, highlights on health care, education and lodging, the guide will be your number one resource in 2025. The guide will also be displayed at local grocery stores, city hall, and other public locations.

One of the largest can’t-miss events of the year will be the Chamber’s annual gala hosted at the Pavilion at John Knox Village 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Sponsored by Bill Fry the Plumbing Guy, this will be a night filled with great food, entertainment, music, must-have auction items and our always favorite VIP Pre-Party event.

The theme this year is The Summit Derby — featuring all the flare and colors of the Kentucky Derby.

Tickets can be purchased online here or by calling the office. We are also collecting donations for the silent/live auction, so help promote your business by providing a basket or gift package.

As the largest, most impactful business organization in the area, we look forward to being the catalyst that will help your business grow and succeed in 2025!

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Recognize a Business for the Chamber's 2025 Excellence in Business Awards

The Lee's Summit Chamber is excited to once again highlight outstanding members through our 2025 Excellence in Business Awards!

This achievement is awarded to a business that you think goes above and beyond with the service they provide. Perhaps it's their community leadership, the care and compassion they show to others or the excellent business practices they reflect each and every day. Self-nominations are accepted.

For Consideration, The Business Must:

  • Be a Lee's Summit Chamber member in good standing
  • Exhibit service to the community and the Chamber
  • Employ a commitment to good business practices

Please complete the following form by Feb. 14, 2025.

Once the process is closed, applications will be thoroughly reviewed and recipients will be showcased at the Chamber's Monthly Membership Luncheon in March.

50/50 Raffle

Benefits Pro Deo Youth Center

It's the season of giving! We held a 50/50 raffle during our annual Holiday Reception Dec. 4 with proceeds going toward Pro Deo Youth Center — an organization that pours into the youth in our community through impactful afterschool programming.

Due to the generosity of our members we were able to raise a record-breaking amount—$1,410!

Congrats to our lucky raffle winner Brandi Abel with Quick Clean Car Wash!

She took home a Pro Deo Youth Center sweatshirt, a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and opted to donate a portion of her proceeds back to Pro Deo Youth Center.

What amazing members we have!

Chamber Young Professionals Volunteer Project

A key component of our Chamber Young Professionals program is community service. Each year, our CYPs and their respective organizations donate a large chunk of time giving back to our community.

This Thursday they took part in Pro Deo Youth Center's annual Gift Wrapping Day to support families during the holidays. Generous donors (many from the Chamber's Angel Tree program) donated the gifts and our CYPs helped wrap and load them into recipients' vehicles during pick up.

They also stuck around to ensure the space was clean and all items were put away at the conclusion of the event.

Thanks to our CYPs and many other volunteers who pitched in this year, a total of 24 families (94 individuals) will have beautifully wrapped presents under the tree. How special!

Thank you, Chamber Young Professionals, for pouring into the Lee's Summit community!

Shop Local Campaign & Angel Tree

The Chamber supported local small businesses with our Shop Local campaign throughout the months of November and December.

We also proudly supported three local organizations with our Angel Tree - Langsford House: Group Home for Boys, Pro Deo Youth Center and Home Instead.

Thank you to all who generously contributed to making this holiday season so joyful to many this year.
