| Dino Alzadon, Program Coordinator for Crisis Chat/Text Services Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services Dino Alzadon joined the US Navy as a Reservist and was called to Active Duty for Operation Desert Storm in 1991. He later moved to California to go back to school. While at Art Center College of Design, he attempted suicide and was hospitalized, twice. He lived with suicidal ideations and major depressive disorder for more than ten years. After twenty years as a Product Designer, he went to work with Didi Hirsch, where he'd been a Call Volunteer for four years. He went to work full time at the Suicide Prevention Center starting in 2019 as one of the first Crisis Chat Supervisors. He has since been promoted to Program Coordinator for Crisis Chat/Text Services where he uses his history and experience to inform himself on how to better help others. He currently resides with his husband, Stephan, in Palm Springs where they take care of two demanding cats, PopTart and LolliPop. |
