2023/2024 Tryouts

Overview:

Thank you for your interest in trying out for our DMSA and Roadrunners FC teams for the 23/24 season.

DMSA and Roadrunners FC is the premier soccer academy for boys and girls in Hyattsville, MD and its surrounding areas. 

Our player-centric approach helps young players of all different levels develop their technical skills and tactical awareness in a challenging, yet supportive, environment. Our training model instills our principals of play in game-like settings which, over time, help players gain the confidence and competency needed to excel on the field!

Registration:

All new and returning players must register for tryouts and attend at least one session to be considered for selection.

Tryouts will be held for boys and girls birth years 2017-2006 on the dates and times listed below. All tryouts will be held at Elizabeth Seton High School, 5715 Emerson St, Bladensburg, MD 20710.

Preparation for Tryouts:

• Please wear a red top and proper soccer attire including shin guards. 
• Please bring your own water labeled with your name.
• Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the tryout time to check in. 
• Notification will be made within 5-7 business days after the final tryout date via email used to register
• Players selected must accept their offers within 72 hours of the offer in order to guarantee their position on the roster.

Selection:

Our teams are selected on a competitive basis. Decisions will be made in the best interest of each player’s developmental needs. For returning players, the previous travel seasons’ performance, attendance and commitment will also be taken into account. All final decisions and team placement will be made by the Age Group Directors and individual team coaches.

Program Overviews:

DMSA and Roadrunners teams participate:

• U7-U8 teams play in ASA Pre-Travel League
• U9-U10 teams play in NCSL and attend competitive local tournaments
• U11-U12 teams play in NCSL leagues and attend competitive local tournaments
• U13-U15 teams play in EDP National League and NCSL, attend competitive tournaments and compete in the State cup/President Cup (when applicable)
• U16-U19 teams play in EDP National League and NCSL, attend competitive tournaments, State Cup/Presidents Cup (when applicable), showcases and College combines.
